Is Rally a dating app?
No. Rally is friends first. It's for finding people to go out with and turning them into a crew you see again.
Can strangers see where I am?
No. Non-friends never see your location. At most they see "on the way, about 15 min" while you're heading to a rally, and "Here" once you're inside the rally area. Your phone rounds your location before it's uploaded, and live location is kept for minutes, not days.
How does "on the way" know I'm really coming?
Your phone has to be moving toward the venue with the ETA going down. If you stop heading there for about 10 minutes, you go back to "Going." The count never reveals where anyone is.
Where and when does it launch?
One Baltimore neighborhood first, with a weekly rally so there's always something to join. Waitlist answers decide which one. Then we expand to the places people ask for most.
Does it cost anything?
Rally is free to use. An optional Pro plan will add extras like Invisible Mode and tuning in to other areas.
